00:03.45GagorianAfaik you'll need a signal converter
00:03.49GagorianWhich is rather expensive
00:04.01Killmoreanyone know in quartz.. how to add more digit to the cast time ?
00:04.24GagorianBut you really should check from the website or something if it has other inputs
00:04.31arkanesyeah I'm looking now
00:06.06arkanesthe website says 2 hdmi, 1 composite, and 1 d-sub
00:06.25arkanescan you go from component -> composite with just a cheap cable?
00:06.39GagorianAre you sure you have component
00:06.51arkanesI can never remember which one is which
00:07.03Gagorianyellow/red/white is usually composite video in the yellow
00:07.09Gagorianand red and white is the sound
00:07.11arkanesright
00:07.24arkanesred & white is sterio audio, yellow is a single video
00:07.29arkanesthats composite?
00:07.32Gagorianindeed
00:07.42arkanesI always get component and composite mixed up :(
00:07.43Gagoriancomponent is red, green, blue split video
00:08.11arkanesthe samsung spec sheet doesnt agree with the box at all :\
00:08.15arkanesI guess I'll just open it up
00:08.57GagorianBut yeah, I'd expect TVs still to have older connectors than just HDMI
00:09.02Gagorianor people would be rather pissed off in general
00:09.38arkanesthe spec sheet is for the LA46B530P7MXZK
00:09.47arkaneswhereas what i have is LA46B530P7F
00:09.53arkanesstupid model numbers
00:11.07Gagoriansounds the same anyway
00:11.23GagorianMy TV has a different code based on in what country it's sold even if it's the exact same model
00:11.27GagorianThat's pretty confusing
00:11.57arkanesthe spec sheet I'm looking at is also for a $13,000 tv and this one was ... not that much
00:12.36arkanesmeh I'll just open it up

06:57.38Shefkiorionshock: Not really true.
06:57.40nevcairielI would rather have no addon using it
06:58.08nevcairielhowever, a lib like that could simply be written to do nothing at all until some addon starts using it
06:58.13nevcairielso loading it wouldnt be any burden

06:59.02nevcairielunless you have a lib that needs to collect data to function, they should all act like that
06:59.24Shefkinevcairiel: Well unfortunately, some of the things LibDogTag does you have to collect data becuase you can't ask for it later.
06:59.33nevcairiellike what?
06:59.42Shefkinevcairiel: Spellcast target for one.
06:59.47Shadowedwhat?
07:00.15ShadowedIt shouldn't need to collect that until a tag is registered
07:00.20nevcairiel"hey addon X wants to know about spell casts, we need to listen to the target now"
07:00.28nevcairielseems like a straightforward design to me :d
07:00.45ShefkiShadowed: It doesn't know about the tag until the CastBar is shown.
07:00.56ShefkiAt which point it's too late.

07:04.05ShefkiThe stuff it needs to listen to always is pretty small.  The problem is it doesnt limit itself to that at all.
07:04.31ShefkiIt listens to a lot of high traffic events that may never be used.
07:04.41ShefkiUNIT_AURA for example.
07:05.10ShefkiFortunately, I don't have to use it.
07:06.39ShefkiLuaTexts doesn't listen to anything but UNIT_SPELLCAST_SENT and PARTY_MEMBERS_CHANGED unless a tag is registered that needs it.

11:28.10vhaarrall of this is pointless, think of all the money RIAA/MPAA has spent on legal activities for this bullshit the last 10 years
11:28.48ShefkiI've drawn the line at refusing to have anything to do with blueray.  I'm done with any format that comes with DRM.

I hid the bar, the icon, and don't use any of fhe extra features, and just have it display the charges as a nice big number.
