18:15.50rbpHi! I've been trying to run linux from haret as described in http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpIpaqH2200CardBoot . Everything seems fine, except that, wheh I run haret.exe, it just stays there on the screen with the field to run scripts, the "listen for network connection" button etc. If I run wrap-haret, it spawns lots of haret instances until it gives an error saying it cannot find the haret executable :P
18:16.49rbpDoesn anyone have a clue as to what may be happening (or, more importantly, how to make it work)?

21:07.34psokolovskylamikr: np. I would like you to be in loop, as you're one of "2.6 big three" officially supported by Familair.
21:14.28lamikrpsokolovsky: Well, h6300 has still some problems with certain apps and basic functionalities but now it feels that everything is progressing really fastly. It was really nice to read today the "h6300 gprs howto" from wiki.
21:17.50psokolovskylamikr: Yes, saw posts about GPRS too, didm't read yet, but was nicely surprised too.
21:20.38lamikrYes, me too. I do not know the ppp/gprs well enought but I thought that I would have needed to make character driver that multiplexes the gprs data from the AT-commands data to different virtual device.
21:21.08aquadranpsokolovsky: hi
21:21.21lamikrI mean something like /dev/ttyS0 --> /dev/gsm0AT & /dev/gsm0data
21:39.29psokolovskyaquadran: Hi Pawel, still there? I know you're experienced with SDL. Do you have an idea if fullscreen mode is supported on handheld devices? Should there be big differences with SDL Opie/GPE versions?
21:40.37aquadranpsokolovsky: i didn't looked into sdl gpe, but propably are plain generic X mostly
21:41.11aquadranpsokolovsky: fullscreen is supported, but not very well
21:41.14psokolovskyaquadran: But can scummvm run fullscreen?
21:41.58psokolovskyaquadran: I see. supported for both Open & GPE or you don't know about the latter?
21:44.10aquadrani didn't looked into gpe. for my port i changed/replaced code which works very well so scummvm and other SDL apps works fine
21:46.12aquadranregarding difference, gpe is X port in SDL, and for opie it's qtopia port. os they completly diffrent
21:46.40psokolovskyaquadran: Ok, good know. Will have a look at your changes then. (decided to go into entertainment and port some games ;-).)
21:46.44aquadranin sdl they are differnt "backends"
21:47.10psokolovskyI see. Too bad you don't hack with GPE too ;-)
21:47.27psokolovskyaquadran: Do you have plans to update h1910 for 2.6.17 soon?
21:47.53aquadranpsokolovsky: nope, and i don't plan due kernel instability
21:48.32psokolovskyaquadran: oops. But somebody should fight that instability! ;-)
21:49.25aquadranpsokolovsky: i'm not upstream kernel hacker
21:50.26aquadranand i don't see point upgrade kernel for h1910
21:51.18aquadrani stick with 2.6.12 and it's very good for that pda
21:51.31*** join/#handhelds.org zecke (n=ich@91.64.167.72)
21:52.17psokolovskyaquadran: well, one reason at least - to generalize/refactor drivers, so it was easier to support several models.
21:53.03psokolovskyaquadran: ok, if I'll run out of stuff to do, I'll look at updating h1910 src and send you patches for testing - hope you can find time for that.
21:53.45aquadranpsokolovsky: ok
21:54.18rbppsokolovsky :sorry, I was out of the computer. I do have startup.txt, as in http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpIpaqH2200CardBoot ("startup.txt for SD/MMC"), minus the console argument (I don't have a serial cable).
21:55.05psokolovskyaquadran: in the meantime, I fixed bug in asic3_mmc driver (you could see it as "cannot set block size to 512", though it screws up rootfs on SD card for me too)
21:55.46psokolovskyaquadran: Also, ssp timeout fix was accepted, I'll commit it soon too (probably should have done that before).
21:56.12rbppsokolovsky : I even tried using unix and dos formats (lf vs. crlf), but none worked
21:56.18psokolovskyaquadran: couple of times I saw no resume after suspend, so yes, it's not fully stable yet
21:56.45aquadranpsokolovsky: that is minor thing
21:56.47psokolovskyrbp: startup.txt and haret should be in same directory, of course. DOS line-endings.
21:57.06psokolovskyrbp: Did you try run haret after hard reset then?
21:57.32aquadranpsokolovsky: regarding fixes, i have asic3_mmc fix allready for some time localy
21:57.46rbppsokolovsky : they're in the same directory. startup.txt is currently in unix format, but I'll change that and try (again). I did try a hard reset as well. Anyway, I'll try it once more as well.
21:58.36psokolovskyaquadran: lol. Please keep kernel-discuss posted of your achievements!
21:58.56psokolovskyrbp: where exactly they are stored and what haret version?
22:00.26rbppsokolovsky : they're on the first partition (dos) of my sd card. I got haret from http://jornada820.sourceforge.net/files/haret/gnuharet-200607110000.exe ("0.3.6-gnu-pxa")
22:00.46pH5psokolovsky: when did you push the sd fix into cvs?
22:01.20psokolovskyrbp: What path? If nothing will help, try "official" version from HaRET page in wiki.
22:01.27psokolovskypH5: on weekend.
22:02.03rbppsokolovsky : \SD Card\haret.exe. I'll try the official version as well, then
22:02.43psokolovskyrbp: nothing's wrong with the path. works in card's root for me.

22:04.13rbppsokolovsky : thanks, I'll try out your suggestions!
22:04.23psokolovskypH5: Yes, ideally, it would be nice to test it on hx4700 well. Please let me know if you'll see any issue. I also posted to kernel-discuss about that.
22:04.56pH5psokolovsky: of course
22:06.01psokolovskypH5: just in case, it's both in trunk and K2-6-16-DEV branch

22:08.55rbppsokolovsky : what should happen when I run haret.exe? Immediately show the tux image and the "thermometre"?

22:11.35rbppsokolovsky : ok. I'll try the haret at http://anymore.nl/ipaq/haret-0.3.6.exe . Is this the "official " one?
22:11.57psokolovskyrbp: yep ;-) I'm using just that.
