My previous experience was with RTOS's such as RTEMS, but for this project we felt that Linux is more appropriate. However, I'm somewhat lost on what distribution to use. I'm leaning towards Yocto, but it seems rather complex and designed for mass deployment, however I like that it builds an SDK for you to easily build applications for your embedded distribution. For
