03:28.22as2andersee, inferno to blob problem you have a min or two to think about it?
03:30.06anderseeas2: To be honest, I'm never converted a tuxscreen.  TimRiker helped me convert my phone (as mine was like the first one he sold).
03:30.40as2Ahh.  I'll wait a while longer and see if he emerges.
04:13.11TimRikeras2: sup?
04:13.32as2Everything works fine, right up to copy in rdp.
04:13.39TimRikerfrom os?
04:13.56as2I'm in windows running inferno emu.
04:14.15TimRikerI've heard that from many. most just ended up doing it from linux.
04:14.59as2Everything is fine, I type c D!blob F!all, I get one line, then I'm back in emu, no error or anything, the tux makes like its about to write, but doesnt get any data.
04:15.34TimRikerI never got windows working as I'm always on Linux. got access to a linux box?
04:15.34as2Backing up from the tux to the PC works fine.
04:15.56as2I'm dual booting redhat currently, but I'm not good with it.
04:16.13TimRikercheck the windows port setting to be sure that software handshaking (xon.xoff) is turned off.
04:16.28as2Ok.
04:17.50as2Wont rdp set that itself when it opens the port?
04:18.03sorphinnot on your windows box :P
04:18.43as2Err, if not on the windows box, what then?
04:18.55sorphinnono
04:19.08sorphini meant you're expecting something to be able to change the setting on your windows box :P
04:19.19sorphinjust check it yourself :P
04:19.57as2It changes the port speed, flow control is another part of the same structure.
04:20.35sorphinif you're gonna argue
04:20.50as2I tried it, identical response.
04:21.03sorphinyou checked it was set correctly?
04:21.11sorphinsay yes or no
04:21.13sorphinthat's all
04:21.14sorphin:P
04:21.32as2Set correctly by what?
04:22.15sorphincheck that it is CURRENTLY SET TO NONE
04:22.46as2Yes and yes, in that order.
04:23.07sorphinfinally :P
04:23.47as2Finally for you, Ive been trying this for 2 days.
04:24.04sorphinno, i meant finally getting a straight answer out of you :P
04:24.15as2I know what you meant.
04:24.17sorphinanyways
04:24.32sorphinsince you're doing it on windows, i dunno what else to tell you, since i did it from unix
04:25.03as2I might have to try that myself, I'm not looking forward to it at all.
04:26.45sorphinheh
04:27.50as2Is there a jflash for windows app?
04:28.43sorphindunno
04:31.03GPSFanas2: I tried for a week to get my win98 rdp to write blob into my tux, I finally gave up and went to linux, worked right off the bat. you will need linux to cross compile and develop for the tux anyway. you could recompile the source of jflash on windows.
04:31.55sorphinGPSFan: evening ken
04:31.58as2I have the source somewhere, theres just a binary on the tux site.
04:32.02GPSFanhowdy dan.
04:32.42sorphinGPSFan: what's up?
04:33.22GPSFanas2: I had the same symptoms you did with windows rdp, tried all the serial port stuff too, the linux rdp just worked.
04:33.26sorphinTimRiker: his serial is set right apparently (tho it was like pulling teeth :P )
04:33.54TimRikerno jflash for windows.
04:35.31as2I'll try rdp in linux next time I reboot.
04:36.06GPSFansorphin: not much, noticed that there aren't any more webpals at softwareandstuff ;>( maybe dave will get his pallett someday.
04:38.37sorphinGPSFan: dunno
04:45.54sorphinGPSFan: i'll be glad when tomw gets my simms and sends em back w/ code so i can use mine

11:35.19TimHatesCisconope. need to reupload.
11:35.32TimHatesCiscopatches welcome. ;-/
11:35.55asOk, should I be worried the MD5 didnt match, or that the upload required almost as many retries as packets?
11:36.04anderseeI forgot a space at the end od the line where I told it to not look for hdd
11:36.35anderseeTimHatesCisco: If it boots this time I'll certainly be sharing source/binaries if you'd like
11:36.36TimHatesCiscoxmodem md5 won't match unless the image is a multiple of 1k
11:36.46asAhh.  Ok.
11:36.47TimHatesCiscoas: you could pad with 0xff and try again.
11:37.14asI wont bother padding, I can always try again.
11:37.15TimHatesCiscoandersee: if I get around to it, sure.
11:37.21TimHatesCiscoas: agreed
11:38.04TimHatesCiscotiming seems important. if you wait too long before starting xmodem with blob you get tons of retries.
11:38.18TimHatesCiscoif you start sending quickly, that does not happen.
11:43.50asInteresting.
