18:31.38electronic_eelzgu: setting custom headers works fine. you just have to be aware that you have to call it in the correct context and that you can only add headers to the invite, not any later stages of the call

18:56.59coolguy3289Hey there, I'm working with a custom dialplan on Asterisk 16.15.1, and the issue I'm having is when I try to call ${EXTENSION_STATE(${INPUT_FROM_USER})}, the only state being returned is UNKNOWN. On an older version of Asterisk this worked fine, is there another way I should be handling this? I'm trying to gather whether an extension is on a call or idle.

19:19.56electronic_eelcoolguy3289: are you using chan_sip or pjsip? could a change to pjsip be related to your problem?

19:22.59coolguy3289I actually figured it out. Was an old to new FreePBX issue. The old system has a catch in the sip.conf to include => ext-local under the default context (which freepbx doesn't use). The new version doesn't have that include statement, so it was catching in a context that freepbx doesn't use at all
19:23.49coolguy3289Specifiing the input@ext-local worked, and after digging around I found that's where the problem lie
