11:56.32sibiriais there a call file parameter to limit the duration of the call when using the outbound spool, similar to the L() parameter of dial?

12:16.27seanbrightsibiria: there is not
12:18.26filethere is indirectly, that is you can set a variable or execute a function so you can use https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Asterisk+16+Function_TIMEOUT to set one on the channel

12:19.00sibiriaah, that will do just fine. less hassle than reworking how we place calls
12:19.03sibiriathanks, file and seanbright
12:19.06seanbrightin pbx_spool.c, there is a 'maxlen' stuct member that is documented to be the max length of the call but it is never read into or used.
12:19.58sibiriai suppose that might be a useful feature for the future, if it could be set directly from the call file
12:20.24fileyou can set variables or dialplan functions from the call file
12:21.02sibiriawell i can call one function
12:21.07sibiriabut that negates the context setting, no?
12:21.26fileI don't understand the question? there's a "Setvar" field on call files for setting things
12:21.26sibiriathat is, it will just call Application and not jump into the dial plan as per context/exten/prio
12:21.38fileSetvar: TIMEOUT(absolute)=5000
12:21.39filedone
12:21.44sibiriaoh, right
12:22.09sibiriai forgot that it can call functions
12:22.35sibiria(i was referring to Application/Data)

15:21.51matjethetreeHello ppl. I am searching for a solution of ip phone launching whatsapp as a dialer instead of using gsm card. Anyone has any experience with this:
15:24.16matjethetreeThe current setup is -> wireless phone -> raspbx ->  android phone
15:29.07*** join/#asterisk Janos (~Janos@201.204.94.76)
15:32.33SamotWhat does the RasPBX have to do with this?
15:35.18*** join/#asterisk miralin1 (~Thunderbi@81.177.58.137)
15:36.25matjethetreeI think asterisk is running on raspbx @Samot
15:37.03matjethetreeI am just looking if there is already some solution that someone knows about, or will I need to go into source code and try to make something new
15:37.09SamotOK but you're launching WhatsApp
15:37.14SamotThat's the goal here it seems.
15:37.22matjethetreeYes
15:37.24SamotWhich would completely bypass Asterisk.
15:39.37SamotWhat type of phone are you trying to do this on?
15:40.58matjethetreeI am just new in this, so if you can help me :) I though that asterisk is the one that mimics handheld bluetooth profile. For example, if you connect your phone with the car and incoming whatsapp call arrives, you can answer it on majority of cars. The idea here is to make outgoing whatsapp calls instead of over gsm. I though of somehow lanuching Android intent that would open whatsapp call, and I imagined that asterisk was need
15:41.24matjethetreecan you pint in the right direction?*
15:42.08matjethetreeandroid phone for whatsapp
15:42.44matjethetreealso, it works now with gsm calling
15:43.19SamotI'm just saying that the phones are where you have to program/set the default dialer app
15:43.28SamotAsterisk has nothing to do with that.
15:43.38SamotIf you make it WhatsApp then the call goes out WhatsApp.
15:43.48SamotIf you make it Skype, the call goes out Skype
15:44.05SamotIf you make it Bria, then the call goes to where Bria is programmed. In this case Asterisk.
15:44.17SamotThat is the only time Asterisk is involved at that point.
15:45.10matjethetreeThank you
15:46.28matjethetreeDo you know any phone that has whatsapp dialier?
15:46.50matjethetreeI though that whatsapp was app that is exclusive for android phones
15:47.12matjethetreephones*, not android phones ;)
15:47.42matjethetreeon my whatsapp desktop I can only send messages, and whatsapp only works on the phone as voip
