20:38.31LunaLovegoodI have a stupid phone that sends the digits one at a time when I'm dialing numbers. How do I handle that in the dialplan?  Right now I have one extension per [0-9] digits, that goes like exten = 6,1,Goto(digit_6,s,1), and the [digit_6] contexts then do a Answer() and WaitExten() to get the rest of the digits. Is there a better way to do that?
20:39.15[TK]D-FenderWhat phone is this?
20:39.21LunaLovegooda MGCP ata
20:39.28[TK]D-Fenderew...
20:39.43[TK]D-FenderDoesn't matter if you got it for free ... go ask for your money back...
20:39.50LunaLovegoodAs it's currently setup, it works, but it's ugly.
20:39.58LunaLovegoodI've got 25 of them
20:40.33[TK]D-Fender"core show application read"
20:41.37LunaLovegoodNot all the destination extensions are the same length, and I'd rather connect immediately when a valid extension has been entered, rather than wait for a timeout before trying to connect the call.
20:43.18LunaLovegoodSo I'm better off using WaitExten() in that case. It works perfectly too, but It looks really kludgy.
20:44.03[TK]D-Fenderif you gateh N-1 worth of patterns, sure

20:45.03SamotAre you stuck using MGCP?
20:45.47LunaLovegoodyup. I've also got SIP phones, but the MGCP ones don't have more recent firmwares available
20:46.35LunaLovegoodIt works so I will probably just leave it like that, but if I can make my extensions.conf more sensible looking, I'd like that.
20:46.49SamotDon't use MGCP.
20:46.56SamotThat will make it more sensible looking.
20:47.10SamotBut if you're stuck, you'll have to work around it.
20:47.19SamotWhich means it will look kludgy.
20:47.29LunaLovegoodOh ok then. Thanks anyway.
20:50.35SamotDownside of MGCP.
20:50.41SamotIt sends the digits individually.

23:33.57hdon_hi all :) i used ./configure --prefix=/opt/asterisk and in my asterisk.conf i specified astmoddir => /opt/asterisk/lib/asterisk/modules in the first section, [directories](!) but my require = chan_sip.so in my modules.conf fails
23:34.29hdon_*** Failed to load module chan_sip.so - Required -- no other explanation given
23:36.12hdon_strace didn't help... i thought i would see asterisk trying to open chan_sip.so in some directory somewhere, but it did not
23:36.32hdon_i don't even see asterisk enumerating any directory named "modules"
23:37.07hdon_i see it opening modules.conf but that's it :C

23:45.59hdon_Samot: yes
23:46.30hdon_but hdon has access to, for instance, chan_sip.so, which seems to be the pain point atm. let me know please, though, if running it with my user will be insufficient for testing

23:58.47Samotand WHERE it's doing it.

23:59.06[TK]D-FenderSo that means the ASTERISk call at the start right down the the end when it's 100% dead
