00:22.50xochilpilihi all, we have set a T1 using e&m signaling between avaya and asterisk, we can call and receive and it's working, but the issue right now is that we cant see the incoming caller id, from asterisk to avaya
00:23.30xochilpiliwe cant figure where is the issue, in the dahdi configuration or in the incoming route in avaya or ..?
00:23.38xochilpiliany advice will apreciate
00:23.40xochilpilithanks

00:33.32hans109hI have a Polycom 650 that has a message button on it, when I press it it dials PJSIP/6004 (it's own ext), this would typically go directly into the voicemail system, however I don't use voicemail for ext 6004, but I want the message button to go to the voicemail system for ext 6000 without having to enter a password, is this possible?

00:44.48[TK]D-Fenderxochilpili, You still provide NO information about how you have set it up and are NOT showing actual calls
00:44.58[TK]D-FenderDon't as if you have nothing to show
00:45.06xochilpili[TK]D-Fender, thanks, its working now
00:46.44[TK]D-Fenderhans109h, Yes, it's in the admin guide and in your provisioning files under ther <mwi> XML key
00:55.19hans109hThanks.  I thought I figured it out, but then it asks me for the mailbox I want and then the password
00:57.59[TK]D-Fenderthat up to you and your dialplan
00:59.34hans109hyup, just figured that out.
01:02.48hans109hand I should have quit for the day, as now I just deleted my extensions.conf
01:03.50hans109hAny way to recreate the extensions.conf from the console?
01:05.00[TK]D-Fenderno backups?
01:05.14hans109hOf course, but not with the changes I made in the last hour
01:05.36[TK]D-Fenderkeep your old backup handy somewhere ELSE and try "dialplan save" from CLI
01:06.08[TK]D-Fenderit'll give you enough code to salvage while you clean up formatting
01:06.15hans109h"I can't save dialplan now, see 'extensions.conf' example file."
01:06.22hans109hI guess I'm loading the backup.
01:06.42[TK]D-FenderGuess you enabled write-protect (or failed to disable it) in your dialplan
01:06.46[TK]D-FenderThere was a global for that
01:07.08[TK]D-Fenderif you know what you want to recover use "dialplan show" and copy it out
01:07.27[TK]D-FenderMore work to turn that back to useful of course

21:46.04forgotmynickhello
21:49.34forgotmynicki have added a pstn trunk. how do i divert all inbound calls on this trunk to another pstn number? i would like the call diverted in the same way as mobile phones diverts where the original caller id and dialled number are passed on. i don't want to answer the call in asterisk and then make an outbound call
21:55.58drmessanoforgotmynick: You can't
21:56.04drmessanoAsterisk is a B2BUA
21:56.34drmessanoYou have to answer the call and then originate another call to the destination
21:56.59forgotmynickdrmessano: ah i see, thanks
21:57.06drmessanoWhether or not you can preserve the CID is up to your provider on the outbound leg.  Some let you specific (spoof) the CID, most do not
21:57.44drmessanoYoure better off just using call forwarding on the call
22:00.20forgotmynickyou mean before it enters asterisk? call forwarding at the provider?
22:12.36drmessanoYes
22:12.40drmessanoAt the provider

22:26.22[TK]D-Fenderforgotmynick, "core show application transfer" <- and pray your provider supports the bounce-back
22:26.28[TK]D-FenderAnd you'll still likely be billed for it
22:26.36[TK]D-Fenderfor whatever those calls would be worth
