00:29.32DrkShadowI have a sip phone behind two routers, and they appear to be totally fucking things up. I have asterisk set "nat=yes" for that phone, and it registers with the IP and Reg. Contact: sip:login@192.168.0.x. It's on 192.168.1.x, however. Problem, I can't access _either_ of the intermediary routers to turn off any SIP ALG's if there are any.. any help with this?
00:30.41p3nguinRouters aren't problems, NAT is.
00:30.53ChrisInSydneyOpenVPN tunnel to box ?
00:31.01p3nguinThat would fix it.
00:31.04ChrisInSydneyChange ports
00:31.09ChrisInSydneyother than 5060
00:31.10p3nguinPorts?
00:31.13p3nguinHow would that help?
00:31.19DrkShadowserver ports?
00:31.20ChrisInSydneybypass ALG
00:31.30DrkShadowI did change client ports.. same issue.
00:31.41p3nguinYou think it is applied based on the port number?
00:32.10p3nguinI would have thought it would be applied in a more intelligent manner, but I could be mistaken.
00:33.43DrkShadowupnp doesn't seem to help..

00:42.00ChrisInSydney?

00:42.30ChrisInSydneyThey dont allow kernel upgrade as you have a Xen host
00:42.53ChrisInSydneyso uyou have to find a matching kernel source. There was a howto in the FAQs.....
00:42.56ChrisInSydney....somewhere
00:43.17ChrisInSydneyLearned that one the hard way

00:56.19F2KnightQ: Buggy MWI ... I have my sip accounts being pulled from sipfriends (mysql) I have subscribemwi enabled, in both sip and the phone. But the MWI even only seems to register when I reboot the phone. Any suggestions?

01:09.49autofsckkChrisInSydney: http://library.linode.com/linode-platform/custom-instances/pv-grub-howto you mean this?
01:10.24ChrisInSydney<autofsckk> Probably not, it was someithing about compiling custom modules against the kernel
01:10.34F2KnightChrisInSydney,Grandstream  GXP2110, asterisk 1.8
01:10.43F2KnightChrisInSydney,Grandstream  GXP2110, asterisk 1.8.9.0
01:11.32ChrisInSydneyShouldnt need buggy MWI. only some older cisco stuff from memory

01:15.18F2KnightMessages have worked before.. but this is a new server.. VM is stored in MySQL DB. I get the messages, playback and email all work ... just the stinking MWI seems to not respond right.

01:17.04mattslHi. Is there a way to indicate in a ring group that you want a delay before a certain line is rang?
01:17.34F2Knightmattsl, how are you handling the ring group?
01:17.47F2Knightmattsl, dial(sip/1&sip/2) ?
01:18.38mattslCurrently the inbound route rings the group. It's setup in FreePBX. Do I need to find a FreePBX specific room?
01:18.52F2Knightmattsl, yes
01:18.55mattslok
01:18.56mattslthanks
01:19.10F2KnightFreePBX does everyting in its own script logic.
01:19.22*** join/#asterisk serafie (~erin@75.76.38.159)
01:19.31F2Knightmattsl, what you may end up having to do is something like:
01:19.52F2KnightDIAL(sip/1&SIP/2,,20)
01:20.06F2KnightDIAL(sip/3&SIP/2,,20)
01:20.54mattslOk. I think I understand that, but I've done very little config outside FreePBX. I'll see if there's a way to do it through there and be back if there's not. Thanks!
01:20.57F2Knightthat would ring sip 1 & 2 for 20 seconds, then ring sip 3 & 2 for another 20.  That would cause sip 3 to be 'delayed' by 20 seconds
01:21.16ChrisInSydney<PROTECTED>
01:21.27ChrisInSydneyexten => 202,1,Wait(10)
01:21.39ChrisInSydneyexten => 202,n,Dial(SIP/202)
01:22.23ChrisInSydneyuse a ,c in the local dial that way if the call is picked up they dont get a missed call
01:23.04ChrisInSydney201 will get a call completed elsewhere if a local picks up, but because the local is a separate dial, it wont get that message
01:23.17ChrisInSydneysmall issue I know
01:24.44ChrisInSydney<F2Knight> Sorry, I was typing and didnt read, Thats how I get all three phones ringing with delays
01:25.06*** join/#asterisk shamelessn00b (~bwahahaha@119.152.23.167)
01:25.24ChrisInSydneybut thats also at the dial plan level. FreePBX has its own way of managing through the GUI
01:25.39F2KnightThat would work as well... MWI is killing me right now.. not sure if it is the phone or the new asterisk box ugh.
01:25.59ChrisInSydneySIP Trace. Look for the xml in the notify
01:26.28F2Knightmattsl, could also use Queues, to handle it... built in logic for delayed rings to some phones.
01:28.27ChrisInSydney<F2Knight> Split it up. You are running Asterisk real time, bring it back to conf files and build from there if you have that luxury
01:28.33ChrisInSydneyIt does seem like a SIP issue
01:30.50ChrisInSydneyDo you get a SIP NOTIFY ?
01:31.01ChrisInSydneywith the MWI subscription ??
01:34.46F2KnightI ran an NGREP and I see notify sip: going out back and forth... or so I think i am.

01:38.22ChrisInSydneyI'll just check against a Snom
01:39.13F2KnightThe phone works with other servers... so I am thinking this has to do with the vmail being stored in a DB
01:40.38ChrisInSydneydoes it store the configs or the VM messages too ?
01:40.52F2Knightthe vm is stored in the DB as well.
01:41.24F2Knightconfigs and storage are both in ODBC storage

01:53.07ChrisInSydneyuse it all the time for testing and ugly things. Then hit format and cut and paste a build script into the shell and we are back to where we left off
