17:24.20CoreDump|homethere is a xmms package, dunno if it was updates recently tho.

17:25.41Elive_user60could you please give xmms a quick go for me please?
17:26.19CoreDump|homeI'm compiling it currently
17:26.19Elive_user60I'd hate to install hentges to find it not working in double size mode
17:26.30Elive_user60cool!
17:27.29CoreDump|homeboy, the dependencies are going to be a bitch
17:27.34Elive_user60So it wasn't in 3.5.4.1 upgrades already then? Hmmm
17:28.15Elive_user60We need a music player for GPE badly! Its a crucial app for me

17:35.00Elive_user60To the left hand side of the time display there is a column of 5 letters
17:35.16Elive_user60second from the bottom is a D that doubles the display size

17:35.33CoreDump|homeyeah
17:35.45Elive_user60Is it bigger now?
17:36.34CoreDump|homebigger and all fucked up =)
17:36.43Elive_user60:(
17:37.25Elive_user60Is it unusable in double size mode then?
17:37.37CoreDump|homeindeed
17:37.44Elive_user60its certainly unusable in normal size mode
17:37.54CoreDump|homelet's see if there is a newer xmms in the .dev branch
17:38.10Elive_user60somebody sussed this out you know, as I say I swear it was xora
17:39.54Elive_user60I think it could've been one of the settings under ~/.xmms/config
17:40.04Elive_user60I'm just looking at it now
17:45.56Elive_user60CTRL + D doubles the display too
17:46.08CoreDump|homeright
17:47.04Elive_user60Nothing in the config file rang any bells but I think the solution lies within there. Maybe it was a compile option tho? I'm googling about now see if I find anything
17:53.56Elive_user60Found it!
17:54.13Elive_user60http://handhelds.org/hypermail/oe-commits/72/7275.html
17:54.49Elive_user60insert XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 before

17:55.10Elive_user60I thought it was xora!
17:56.10Elive_user60does that make any sense coredump? If so have you got some MP3 and ogg files to test it out with?
17:58.41CoreDump|homeElive_user60: well, that doesn't help a thing

18:00.29Elive_user60oh dear!
18:03.32CoreDump|homeusing a different skin doesn't help either

18:18.18CoreDump|homeI don't think so
18:18.52Elive_user60it probably won't work then
18:19.20Elive_user60You'll have won yourself a convert if it does work tho
18:20.04Elive_user60are you seriously not bothered at all if Hentges doesn't have a working graphical music player?
18:21.06CoreDump|homeWell, I see the lack of a music player as a problem for OZ/Hentges, yes. But there's nothing I can do about it currently.
18:22.28Elive_user60it would only take you a couple of minutes to try VLC out with some MP3s wouldn't it? Maybe I did something wrong?

18:23.22CoreDump|homewell, why don't you try it then?

22:06.56TheFoolok, anyone here (as in not afk) with experience flashing a collie? I know there is plenty of documentation on it, most of which I have read, I am just paranoid and like to have someone to walk me through my mistakes.

22:16.57TheFoolno problem, I have waited a while to get all the stuff I need to flash it I don't mind waiting a while longer to make sure I don't screw it up. I know the collie is supposedly rather difficult to flash.install as it requires installing root to an SD card and only has 14Mb avaialbe for the ROM.
