15:27.22merlin1991just had the worst latoprecovery related friday ever
15:27.28merlin1991I learned one thing though
15:27.48merlin1991never ever ever try to attempt a system reinstall with "recovery disks" from your notebook provider
15:30.27merlin1991at attempt #1 it blew the partition table which lead the linux kernel to think there's a bazillion swap devices so that it needed over 7GB to load the partition info (my main desktop actually had the oom killer up when I inserteded the disk via usb), then it blindly tried to recover into the first visible ntfs partition on the disk (system recovery with 100mb, gooood plan) , so got rid of that which finally got me a proper recovery,
15:30.27merlin1991blew my grub 5 times in the process
15:31.07merlin1991the partition table madness after step one was the worst, since I couldn't even resolve it with a livedisk since it ran out of memory with the 4gb available in the notebook

17:16.06Pali:-)
17:17.37Paliso now we will see which commit broke modem?
17:17.44freemangordon_;)
17:18.11freemangordon_in about 10 minutes
17:18.22Paliif it is that big python clk script... then nothing new
17:18.43Paliwe will be at begining again
17:18.44freemangordonPali: I think no
17:19.00freemangordonI bet on sparse IRQ, whatever it is
17:19.17Palihm, so do you think clk is ok?
17:19.46freemangordonmaybe it is not ok, but it is not the one that breaks SSI
17:22.39freemangordonPali: if I am right, I *think* I know how to fix it
17:23.02freemangordonand if I am right, I *think* the same patch breaks cameras too

17:40.44freemangordonthis time :)
17:40.50Paliok :-)
17:41.03freemangordongimme 5 more minutes to check if my patch works
17:43.11Palifreemangordon: maybe this commit is reason for non working sound
17:44.15Palirx51 snd driver has hardcoded irq too...
17:46.11freemangordonPali: my patch works :D
17:46.32Palinice :-)
17:47.06Palican you pastebin patch?
17:47.09freemangordonwe need to add OMAP_INTC_START to hardcoded IRQ value
17:47.14freemangordonPali: ^^
17:47.17Paliok
17:47.18freemangordonjust that one :)
17:47.27freemangordonall of them ofc
17:47.30Palican you look at snd rx51 driver too
17:47.32Pali?
17:47.35freemangordonok
17:47.52freemangordonbut lets first checkout 3.12 as I am on 3.6 rc5 now :D
17:49.13freemangordonPali: what about ISP?
17:49.24freemangordondoes it have a hardcoded IRQ?
17:49.33Palido not know
17:49.40freemangordonok, will look at it
17:50.16freemangordonPali: see that patch http://dics.voicecontrol.ro/process_mails/arata_discutia/167961/%5BPATCH_2_2%5D_ARM:_AM33XX:_hwmod:_Add_OMAP_INTC_START_offset_to_all_module_int_nos.html
17:50.26freemangordonwe must do the same
17:50.34PaliI remember that somebody wrote me that snd rx51 driver has hardcoded irq and it can stop working in future...
17:50.46freemangordonexactly
17:51.17DocScrutinizer05*sigh* those kernel hackers
17:51.33DocScrutinizer05not you, Mr Balbi and friends
17:51.56freemangordonDocScrutinizer05: well, it is "us" to blame this time
17:54.09freemangordonPali: where is the sound driver?
17:54.18Palihm, I still did not get any comments for bluetooth driver...
17:54.32Palifreemangordon: sound/...
17:54.37Palior snd/...
17:54.43freemangordonok :)
17:54.45Palinot in drivers!
17:55.06Palifind . -name rx51.c
17:56.40Palidoc, freemangordon: somebody worked on sound filter kernel driver (it was on garage maemo)... do you know what happened?
18:00.41Palifreemangordon: check if you can make voice call and send sms from maemo :-)
18:00.50Palior check gps
18:01.00freemangordonno spare simcard here ;(
18:01.02freemangordon:(
18:01.14Paliagps
18:01.16freemangordonbut will see what  can do :)
18:01.23freemangordonok
18:02.05Paliyou can try to insert any sim card and check for operator name...
18:02.21Paliand entering pin code
18:02.29freemangordonI guess having the IMEI in the syslog is ok
18:02.34freemangordonfrom the modem that is
18:02.55Palior check camera :-)
18:04.00freemangordonPali: any idea where platform_get_irq gets the values from?
18:04.04freemangordonin the ISP case
18:04.22Palino, do not know isp code
