09:37.51freemangordonarcean, ping
09:38.01arceanfreemangordon, pong
09:38.30freemangordonarcean, why new h-d is not in -devel repo, after all that is the whole purpose of that repo
09:39.07arceanlack of time to make desaturation configurable
09:39.30freemangordonconfigurable? what needs to be configured?
09:39.45freemangordonaah, a way to disable it?
09:39.55arceanyes, the way to enable/disable
09:40.09freemangordonbut that is not a reason for it to not enter -devel repo
09:40.19freemangordonAIU
09:40.22freemangordon*AIUI
09:40.44arceanhmm
09:40.47arceanyou're right :D
09:41.20freemangordonsee, if we continue to attach .debs ont TMO threads, -devel repo will never start to be what it is supposed to be :)
09:42.05freemangordonarcean, BTW you have access to -devel repo, ain't?
09:42.19arceanDo we have the CSSU-devel thread on tmo?
09:42.26freemangordonarcean, yes
09:42.36arceanah, great :)
09:43.13freemangordonarcean, BTW have in mind I have that enabled on my primary phone, be careful what you put in there :P
09:43.41arcean:D
09:44.05freemangordonarcean, 10x
09:44.21arceanat least we'll know if something's broken :)
09:44.57freemangordonhttp://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=84292
09:45.00freemangordonyeah
09:46.11freemangordonarcean, have in ming that usually package version in -devel repo should end up with .X
09:46.17freemangordon*mind
09:47.27freemangordoni.e. do not increase package version in changelog, just add .0,.1,..., so next testing update(which will have version increased) will take recedence
09:47.59arceani don't know about that, thanks :)
09:50.11freemangordonarcean, what is now in -devel repo is "Version: 1:2.2.142-21.1", so when adding the entry in debian/changelog, you should use 1:2.2.142-21.2
09:50.49freemangordonso the next testing will be 1:2.2.142-22 ;)

10:37.45Palifreemangordon, if you have time pack & push my patched HAM to -devel repo for testing
10:38.09freemangordon_ok
10:38.18Palihttps://gitorious.org/~pali/community-ssu/pali-hildon-application-manager
10:38.37Palibut I'm not sure if working correctly, so it really needs testing :)
10:38.58freemangordon_:-)
11:09.56RaimuI installed kernel-cssu yesterday.
11:11.28RaimuAlso installed all of the thumb-compiled pieces from cssu-thumb. That prompted things like this one stickynotes widget and Fapman not starting anymore.
11:11.59RaimuRunning fapman through terminal gave a error message about some Qt things missing.
11:12.38freemangordon_Rainu, you're missing new libstdc++ ;-)
11:13.03freemangordon_Raimu
11:13.07RaimuI see.
11:13.18freemangordon_sorry, typing from my n900
11:14.10freemangordon_I will upload it somewheri in an hour or so and will ping you
11:14.16RaimuKay!
11:14.23freemangordon_:-)
11:14.31RaimuIs there a TMO thread on the thumb experiment, BTW?
11:14.36RaimuNot that it necessarily needs one YET.
11:15.28freemangordon_still not, as you see, it is not ready for the general public yet
11:17.22Raimufreemangordon_: Anything noteworthy different between k-cssu and kp50 except for the fix?
11:18.31freemangordon_battery charger module
11:32.18freemangordonRaimu, here http://dox.bg/files/dw?a=7a7c0ddb15
11:33.20freemangordonunzip tu /usr/lib and change libstdc++.so.6 to point to libstdc++.so.6.0.16
11:33.24freemangordon*to
11:40.53RaimuHuum
11:43.35freemangordonRaimu, huum as in?
11:44.53freemangordonRaimu, btw what did apt-get said about how less storage will be used?
11:45.00merlin1991freemangordon: when the libpackage is ready I can do you the mp :D
11:46.29freemangordonmerlin1991, thanks, I am still not convinced *-mp is a good idea. -thumb repo follows -devel repo and as it is changed frequently, managing -mp will be a PITA
11:46.54merlin1991though without mp you can't tell people to go add this repo and be happy :D
11:47.04merlin1991things are bound to break that way
11:47.09freemangordonyeah, I know :(
11:47.31freemangordonwell, ok, will try to make lib thingie today
11:47.47Raimufreemangordon: As in "let's get cracking". :) Done now.
11:47.59freemangordonaah :)
11:48.12freemangordonyou should have everything in place now
11:48.18Raimufreemangordon: You mean how much rootfs is used by installing the everything thumbed?
11:48.23Raimu-the
11:49.00freemangordonRaimu, apt0get upgrade usually tells "n kilobytes will be freed"
11:49.06merlin1991I think all in all you'll lose a bit of rootfs space since qt moves back into /usr instead of opt
11:49.17freemangordon:nod:
11:49.22merlin1991tough ofc overall space consumption goes down
11:49.33RaimuYes, I recall rootfs space dropped by several megabytes.
11:49.35freemangordonbut there should be gain from moving Qt to nand
11:49.57freemangordonand it will be compensated when more packages are thumb-compiled
11:50.37freemangordonmy question was "how much space we gain by using thumb"
11:51.00freemangordonno matter if it is in rottfs or in /opt
11:52.55freemangordonRaimu, BTW is there any visible slowdown from using kernel-cssu?
11:55.11merlin1991bah it's summer and all I get here is fsckd rain
11:55.23freemangordonmerlin1991, same here :(
11:55.54freemangordonit was raining for the last week or so
11:56.02merlin1991we should do a cssu meetup one day :D
11:56.27freemangordonmerlin1991, we should have a new update some day

11:58.28freemangordonmerlin1991, would you made that -thumb libstdc++ shit for me, I want to RE facebook stuff
11:59.01merlin1991hm I guess if you've tared up all the stuff I could try make a package of it
11:59.42freemangordonmerlin1991, the library here here http://dox.bg/files/dw?a=7a7c0ddb15 is all that is needed so far
11:59.49freemangordonand a symlink change
11:59.55merlin1991okay I'll see what I can do
12:00.06freemangordonmerlin1991, thanks a lot
12:12.21freemangordonRaimu, is everything ok with the new library?
12:15.26RaimuSo far. :)
12:16.28freemangordonBTW I hope you'de rebooted, so everyone to use newer library
12:16.36RaimuHnngh, the thumbed libraries ate something like 15 megs off rootfs.
12:16.45RaimuYeah, I power cycled the phone.
12:18.00freemangordonRaimu, that is because Qt is moved to rootfs from /opt
12:18.21freemangordonwe will regain those back when more stuff is thumb-cmpipled
12:18.47RaimuYeah, I got that they went into rootfs now. It's still an "ouch", because I'm used to trying to converse the space there. :)
12:20.29freemangordonmove libflashplayer to /opt
12:20.31freemangordon:D
12:20.37Raimu*conserve
12:20.49RaimuYeah, if space becomes ultra-scarce.
12:27.45Raimufreemangordon: Okay, all done. I'll report about things if they turn up.
12:34.17freemangordonok

15:28.54Raimuarcean: About that monochroming addition for hildon-desktop's closing programs... I noticed it doesn't monochrome the app if you 'x' the program that's maximized currently and then pop on the running apps view.
15:29.39RaimuDoing this to mark an app window pending for closing is a great idea, by the way.
