00:01.11hyiltizNot in the upstream
00:01.50CoJaBoIs there a way to just disable whatever feature is causing plasmashell to access printers?
00:02.00CoJaBoNone of the info I can find is newer than ~2014
00:02.03hyiltizNo idea if launchpad would even forward those to the upstream or if the upstream dev even read/follow up on launchpad
00:02.20hyiltizDisable the printer kcm

00:04.36jankusanagi_Plasma's bugs go to bugs.kde.org, and obviously, Plasma developers don't monitor distributions bugtrackers, that would require 1000 employees xD
00:04.55CoJaBohyiltiz: How do I disable it? The config file has been moved from where it was when the bug was filed, and I can find nothing else about this on google
00:05.41jankusanagi_you can disable the printer plasmoid from the system tray settings, or uninstall it (I don't even have it installed)

00:06.23jankusanagi_here on Mageia, the package is system-config-printer, IIRC
00:07.04jankusanagi_hm, maybe it's not that one
00:08.51jankusanagi_ah no, it's "print-manager"

I want to keep its configs (like autospell, theme etc. the configs that are not account specific) but want to reset the accounts (I tried importing my email accounts from Thunderbird using the migrator but that is giving me accounts that fails to log into yahoo mail and gmail).
03:26.20hyiltizI may as well start afresh in kmail

04:51.22disillusionyou have to find a distro with it still in the repos in order to use it.

19:04.46grawityjasom: I'm only guessing, but it doesn't export a DesktopEntry property on the mpris root interface (which is how UIs would determine *which* icon to display)
19:05.39jasomgrawity: thanks, I just figured it out; the version of cmus I had had mpris disabled, but there is no visible indication that it is disabled (doesn't show up in plugins or --version or anything, and enabling "mpris" in options succeeds).
