08:44.47pavestnavihey guys I'm on archlinux and kde lags in a weird way. I'd like to start using it but it's a huge problem for me. I could be typing something, scrolling, clicking a button, sending a message and it just freezes. This happens on both gtk and qt applications and it doesn't happen on other DEs, including lxqt. I'd like to be directed to where the logs are for kde to see at least what happens when it lags.

21:10.25mike-zalI'm missing icon mode view in dialog windows. is there any way to fix it?
21:11.03mike-zalchoosing image files is hard without it (I see just symbolic icon and not the thumbnail)
21:12.03Fuchsmike-zal: there is an icon for that, next to "reload"
21:12.07Fuchs(all to the right)
21:12.13Fuchs(well, of the left set of icons)
21:19.42mike-zalFuchs: but the issue is: I just have file and detail view there, no icon view

21:25.12Fuchsyeah, you get an odd dialogue there. What distribution is that?
21:25.17Fuchslooks like the Qt one instead of the KDE one
21:25.20mike-zalyeah, it looked that way but not anymore...
21:25.48mike-zalI use plasma 5.6

21:27.56mike-zalin default manjaro kde it worked properly, at least this thing. other things were not so good (constat crashes) so I made my own install and finally system is stable. but this one things drives me crazy
21:30.14Fuchsprobably the KDE integration in Qt
21:30.24Fuchsnot sure in what package manjaro did put that, but you can ask them :)
