02:48.06rdietererfanian: krunner does locking I know at least
02:49.23JucatoI think it's ksmserver, but not entirely sure. user switching I think is handled by kdm
02:49.40erfanianI'm using lightdm, so kdm shouldn't event be running, right?
02:49.51Jucatoright
02:50.15Jucatowell I think any DM (kdm, gdm, xdm) would do. just not sure
02:52.18erfanianJust trying to figure out where to file some bugs. The lock screen is centered between two displays when switching users. I'll try krunner. Thanks rdieter and Jucato.
02:53.21erfanianBut the login screen probably isn't drawn by krunner.... hmm.
02:53.36erfanians/login screen/lock screen
02:54.53rdieteri know screen locking doesn't work if  krunner  isn't running
02:55.26rdietererfanian: but you're right, I belive the unlock dialog is a greeter plugin (from kde-workspace/kdm somewhere)
02:56.37erfanianBugzilla lists kscreensaver as the locking component, but it reports "Auto-lock and unlock infrastructure (currently part of krunner for historical reasons)." so I think you're right with krunner.

Most of this people thinks kde is bloated, because it ships a lot of apps in it, but they don't know they have the freedom to not install all those apps, even better, whether it was installed you can remove one by one without break any thing else, the bloated thing is more a distro fault, like kubuntu, apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

16:49.13fury_hello everybody. I'm running KDE4 on a FreeBSD machine, with two monitors. I have it set up (somehow) as having a desktop on each monitor. In /tmp/.X11-unix, there's one display (X0). My problem is, I can't move windows to or start anything on the second monitor. I'm able to add widgets etc, but that's about it.

22:04.36oopepeHi, is it possible to clear a cached smb password. I accessed some smb share with the kio_smb slave with dolphin and id like to change the username, but i checked "save password". Is it possible to clear the password without logoff logon?

22:08.55oopepeNope, its a bug i gues. The password never gets to KWallet. I think its since kde 4.7. Im trying to fix this, and want to test the change without logoff login..
22:09.16psyopussywhy not create a second connection with the other username?
22:11.17oopepeUsing smb://someuser@myserver did popup the dialog again and i could see if it works. And it does, the password finally gets stored in KWallet again.
