00:16.51pinotreeyes, forget the ksplashrc
00:17.31pinotreealso, can you pastebin the result of `find .` inside the top level directory of your theme?

00:21.25pinotreenothing weird there... i guess you could compare to an existing theme, and see which are the difference
00:21.29jacktheripperif the qdbus command is "qdbus org.kde.ksmserver /KSMServer org.kde.KSMServerInterface.logout", then the Qt syntax should be "QDBusMessage message = QDBusMessage::createSignal("/KSMServer", "org.kde.ksmserver", "org.kde.KSMServerInterface.logout");" Am I right ?
00:22.00pinotreejacktheripper: given that logout is a method and not a signal, no

00:27.26TheOnepinotree: what is the correct kde-way to activate a ksplash theme via command line?
00:27.59pinotreeit depends on the engine of your theme
00:28.31TheOneEngine=KSplashX
00:29.29pinotreeksplashx themename --test
00:30.20TheOnebut thats only to test the theme or not?
00:30.43pinotreeif in your Theme.rc you have [KSplash Theme: Foo], the installation directory of the theme in the ksplash data dir is "Foo", and so is the name for ksplashx

04:37.55mrguitarfor single monitor, yes
04:38.03mrguitarI have to disable it because I run dual
04:38.11nuonguyI was happily impressed with the way that kde+xorg understood both my monitors and respected my settings nicely, better than windows7 does
04:38.16mrguitar...and that actually may be fixed now
04:38.40nuonguyI just ran a yum upgrade, but haven't restarted yet, so I'll see how that goes
04:39.12mrguitarI wish you luck. I've got 2x laptops running f14 w/ kde and they both rock

04:40.57mrguitarit's in testing but due to WAF I need to wait a few more weeks. ;)
04:41.20nuonguyI stopped using atrpms because he would replace system RPMs with his own, and that made upgrading such a pain

21:21.59Jejemit's a random logic :)

23:47.47illissiusanyone have an idea why the kde file dialog would be _ridiculously_ slow and resource-intensive?
23:48.24Sho_illissius: platform?
23:48.30illissiusthe first time I open it the hard disk activity LED goes on full-tilt for minutes and the desktop is basically unusable
23:48.46illissiusI'm not sure if it's accessing the disk itself or using so much memory that it causes swapping

23:50.26illissiusI wouldn't mind so much if it was the latter
23:51.26illissiusI thought it was because it was opening at a directory with thousands of files, but if it opens at a different one it makes no difference (if anything, it's gotten worse)
