00:03.21pembo13ie. where do the notes save their data?
00:10.45pembo13where does plasma_applet_notes store its data?
00:11.51neverendingopembo13: in .kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc

00:12.29pembo13neverendingo: been there, that is where i found plasma_applet_notes
00:12.38pembo13neverendingo: i want the actual note
00:12.58neverendingopembo13: look in the section most likely above it
00:13.15pembo13neverendingo: where are sections stored?
00:13.20neverendingoappended with [configuration]

00:13.43pembo13i'm guessing that references some storage location

00:14.03DarkriftXanyone know how I make kde4 stop controlling my desktop and let compiz?
00:14.08pembo13neverendingo: sure, but what is that a file?
00:14.16neverendingopembo13: the same
00:14.39pembo13neverendingo: ahhh
00:14.41pembo13i see
00:14.42pembo13ok
00:14.46neverendingopembo13: mostly all applet data is stored there, apart from some specials maybe
00:15.05pembo13neverendingo: that's infortuate
00:15.14pembo13the notes are deleted when they are removed from the desktop
00:15.25neverendingoyes
00:15.26pembo13this is very unlike the KDE3 desktop notes
00:15.31pembo13darn
00:15.37neverendingoyou still have knotes
00:15.51pembo13i will have to return to that apperently
00:15.59neverendingothey are part of kdepim and work the same as before

00:33.12neverendingopembo13: both options have their benefits
00:33.17neverendingobut will be joined later
00:33.55pembo13neverendingo: well, the sucks was that i had written down a pass phrase in my notes, and then removed it not realisizng that notes weren't persistant

00:35.01neverendingothat's bad, yes...
00:35.20pembo13i was wrong to assume that notes on the desktop in KDE4 behaved like those in KDE3
00:35.56pembo13that's kinda messed up, even if someone was toturing me for my password i would have probably gotten it wrong
00:36.13neverendingothey do, but only the knotes ones... there is a different set along with that now... that is the point... but whatever. you know know, don't delete any stuff that you don't know for sure
