00:16.40Kollapsepinotree, Is the 4.3.0 rc2 (4.2.96) considered stable ?

00:51.37KillsudoI am having an issue with KDE 4.3 rc1 since I have upgraded, normal users have konsole broken. Konsole will not display a shell prompt and if I launch it from the cmd line I see no errors. I have tried bsh, zsh, ksh to make sure it just wasnt bash. If I log into KDE4 as root I can launch Konsole and it displays a shell prompt just fine.
00:52.05KillsudoAll other terminal emulators are also broken under a normal user except x-term
00:52.20Killsudoim not even sure where to begin on fixing this

02:04.47Waistlesshi, how do I get plasma widgets to show up only in one workspace?
02:07.00ZombieBearWhat do you mean?
02:08.24Waistlessumm.. you know how you can switch workspaces, as in one set of windows on one screen, then another set of windows on the other right?
02:08.44Waistlesswell how do you set the plasma widgets (like the clock, calendar etc.) to appear only in the first workspace?
02:10.07Waistlessit's KDE 4.2 im pretty sure that's the version kubuntu 9.04 uses

02:16.20junkDawgieactivities are accessed thru the cashew in the top right corner..... and no, i am not positive that it can't be done on virtual desktops, but nobody talks about it, and i haven't been able to do it.

02:20.55junkDawgieyou began talking about widgets on one desktop... hence, i tried to tell you what i knew
02:21.25Waistlessyea.. pity I would think that KDE 4 would have that kind of functionality by now.. oh well
02:22.20junkDawgiei think they will develop plasma to do it, but i don't expect any more development in old features
02:22.49junkDawgieit would be a duplication of effort
