00:35.56andersrlculver: Kde needs to know where to look for its files. Kcontol loads some files to create the list of modules, and they are under $KDEDIR/share somewhere, so if KDEDIRS does not contain the prefix where you installed KDE, it will not work (unless you installed in /usr)
