11:15.11parazydis it possible to go ubuntu->devuan by changing the repos?
11:16.54P-GI can't say for sure, but if it is possible it would probably be a lot of work.
11:17.30P-GI imagine you'd be better off just installing it fresh.
11:17.55parazydyeah i guess
11:18.12P-GIs there a reason you don't want to?
11:18.36parazydno, it's just a friend is asking if it's possible
11:18.45parazydbut okay
11:20.14P-GWell, don't take my word for it. Migrating user data should be quick and easy though.

11:42.59aitor_parazyd: i want to try it with Trisquel GNU/Linux. I built succesfully linux-libre-4.6.2 in i386, but yesterday it failed in amd64. There was no message saying "not enough space left on device", but i'm trying again in another hard disk. My idea is to update Triquel to Devuan. They are my countrymen, but gnome has a heavy reliance on systemd (Trisquel is not Mate)
11:45.53parazydyeah i wonder if will work
11:51.10aitor_Yesterday the packaging proccess interrupted while packaging "linux-image-4.6.0-1-rt-amd64-dbg_4.6.2-2_amd64.deb"
11:51.59aitor_Today it worked :)
11:54.09aitor_If i succeed it, you owe me a Devuan's T-shirt... LOL

12:14.47jaromilspeaking of t-shirts. I've just spoken to a local small entreprise of young people doing them in Pescara and we'll have the first batch of Devuan t-shirts available for those attending https://moca.olografix.org :^)
12:15.24jaromilI think of small swoosh logo on the heart frontside and then bigger Devuan logo all across the back side
12:19.02P-GI don't really have a sense for art but would it look good to have the swoosh wrap around the shirt somehow?
12:19.35P-GMaybe around he collar or torso to provide a sense of depth?
12:21.40jaromilmmm, intriguing
12:22.10jaromilsince time is short on this one i doubt, but i'll ask the experts if they like to be creative
12:22.46jaromilwon't be a big batch but there are people attending the presentation that asked for it
12:23.12P-GSounds good. Marketing is important. :)
12:23.22jaromilstill much cheaper than order it online, i'll also load what is left with me on hold luggage once back in amsterdam
12:24.00jaromilyea, i used to think is not but it is. the trick is to keep it somehow kosher and not buy into some sweatshop slavery situation
12:25.28P-GYes, and there are a lot of different ways to market. It is just about getting our name out there so people who might be interested have the opportunity to look us up.
12:25.45P-GIt's good if it stands out a bit but it should be tasteful. ;)
12:26.22P-GPersonally, I don't like shirts with big logos on the back but having a blank back is boring.
12:26.38P-GThat's why I thought or wraping the swoop around somehow.
12:26.57P-GBut I really don't have an eye for these sort of things.
12:27.04sdaughertyI'd love a Devuan t-shirt.... I feel dirty wearing my Debian one these days.
12:29.33P-GWell, I think some shirts are sold online but they are a bit expensive and they only have one design.
12:30.16P-GThey put a large swoop on the back and the logo across the whole chest in front. It looks pretty nice.
12:32.53P-GInterestingly enough, it looks like the women's and unisex shirts come in a variety of colours and the women's doesn't seem to have the swoop on the back.

12:37.28jaromili know some fashion experts, will ask about the logo styling
12:37.51jaromili think the small swosh on the heart front is clean and professional, i don't like big logos
12:38.56jaromilyes the ones online are made toying around with spreadshirt
12:39.07jaromilnow you remind me is good to have them also in that version
12:39.19jaromilperhaps like online, big in front and swosh big on back?
12:41.14jaromilyes definitely better
12:41.22Leander256it's good to have different versions, my long hair typically hides the big logos on the back, and your grey beards would hide the big logo on the front :p
12:41.45jaromillooool
12:42.22jaromilwe also have an offer from a linux friendly embrodiery shop to make high quality polos with embrodiered logo
12:42.36jaromilseems like people in the sector are noticing devuan's raising popularity
12:42.46P-GI think the ones on the site are good but they don't stand out much. With a bit of design work, I think the swoosh could make a really interesting and tasteful shirt.
12:43.26P-GObviously a free software project needs a lot of different shirt options. ;)
12:43.39P-GSince we're all picky people.

21:35.05Centurion_Danit's really rude!
21:41.07gci_adminCenturion_Dan, I think maybe ryuujin believes we all know what MOCA is. ;)
21:47.42Centurion_Dangci_admin: given that this list is very international, that's a stretch at best, particularly that this list is in english and that link is to an italian festival it seems obvious that ryuujin ought to be well aware that's unlikely the case.  Furthermore it is nevertheless rude to drop a link without so much as a description or indication of where it points to
21:48.20Centurion_Danand it's not the first time...
21:57.36gci_adminCenturion_Dan, oh, I do understand all that. I was just pointing out the humor in the apparent assumption. :)

22:51.51Centurion_DanI prefer english because I didn't have the benefit of growing up in a society where there was recognition of other nationalities, in fact although my parents where both dutch immigrants they were told that teaching their children to dutch would only create confusion in the home and be detrimental to our educational achievement.  Obviously that's bollocks, but the end result is I don't have a strong understanding of my parents mother tongue..
